Knott's - 12-26-07 Footers arrive
for Pony Express, and Panda Express looks great as it nears opening. |

Footers for Pony Express have moved into a small section of the

Site markers indicate that the coaster will travel over Bigfoot
Rapids as well. This is a much larger ride than I originally
envisioned. |

That's all for this
update. Before everyone starts jumping up and down about
footers in Boothill, remember that construction hasn't finished yet.
The end result could be an eyesore, or it might turn out well. We
won't know for a while. I'm truly torn when it comes to things
like this. Knott's isn't a museum, but Knott's has to change
and grow in order to survive. Cedar Fair
isn't out to ruin the park. Sierra Sidewinder is a great kids
coaster that isn't a cookie cutter ride found in every other park.
Pony Express will be the same. Both will be "Knott's" to a
whole new generation of fans.
In regards to Panda Express, It's no secret that with the exception of the Farm's
sit-down restaurants such as Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner and Ghost
Town Grill, food at Knott's is average at best (excluding funnel
cakes and boysenberry punch, of course). I believe that the
move to raise the quality of the park's fast food by bringing in an
outside franchise will turn out to be a good thing. I'm not
sure how Chinese food fits in Ghost Town, but it is what it is.
I hope everyone had a
very Merry Christmas, and I wish you a happy new year!
